Sobra

Sobra is a small, quiet fishing village in the bay of the same name on the northern coast of the island of Mljet. It is the main port and a good starting point for further exploration of this beautiful island.

Sobra Beach

Sobra Beach is located on the western side of Sobra Bay, a kilometer from the pier, where you can find a small concrete platform with plenty of shade. There are larger stones in the sea here, so be careful.

Beach Saplunara

Mljet is a home to several beautiful beaches that are located a little bit further from Sobra, and one of them is certainly the sandy beach of Saplunara, that is located on the southeastern side of the island. This long and shallow beach is located in a beautiful blue lagoon surrounded by untouched nature.

Hiking trail

Sobra is the beginning of the 43-kilometer-long Mljet hiking trail that stretches throughout the entire island and its Mediterranean landscapes and provides beautiful views along the way.

Mljet National Park

National park known for its two saltwater lakes, Sveta Marija Island that is a home to a 12th-century Benedictine monastery, as well as dense forests and diverse flora and fauna.

Odysseus Cave

The cave has an impressive entrance, the interior is filled with turquoise sea and is connected to the sea with an underground channel. It's named after Homer's character Odysseus because legend has it that Odysseus found refuge here after a shipwreck.

Tavern Riva

Tavern Riva is located right on the waterfront, in the center of the town. It is a Mediterranean restaurant that offers traditional Dalmatian cuisine surrounded by a beautiful and peaceful ambience.
