Opatija

Opatija is known as the Pearl of the Adriatic and is one of the oldest tourist destinations in Croatia. It is located at the foot of the Učka mountain, offers a great view of the Kvarner Gulf islands and is known for its distinctive promenades, elegant villas and hotels dating back to the 19th century.

Slatina Beach

Slatina Beach is located in the very center of Opatija. It is a concrete beach with smooth sea sand, which is popular due to its proximity to the city center and the nearby cafes and the promenade that stretches along the coast.

Tomaševac Beach

Tomaševac Beach is an ideal beach for families with children, and it is located below the Ambasador Hotel. It is partly gravel and partly concrete and offers various facilities such as a water slide, swings and other sports activities. There is also a bar near the beach.

Angiolina Beach

Surely the most attractive beach in Opatija is located next to the promenade. Built on the site of a former house, today it is recognizable by its wooden facade. There you can find a bar, a restaurant, a barber shop and a pop-up shop.

Lungomare promenade

The Lungomare promenade is a 12 km long promenade that stretches from Voslosko to Lovran. Take a walk along the well-maintained paths and enjoy the views of the sea and the entire Opatija Riviera.

Visit one of the most photographed sculptures in Croatia that is located on the small rock next to the Lungomare promenade. The sculpture is the work of the academic sculptor Zvonko Car and it welcomes tourists who come to Opatija from the sea side.

Angiolina Park

Park Angiolina is the central city park that extends next to Villa Angiolina. It is a protected monument of park architecture and has a rich garden whose plants have arrived from different parts of the world, and according to the last list from 2006, there are 124 types of plants there.

Croatian Walk of Fame

The Croatian Walk of Fame is located in Slatina, Opatija, with the aim of symbolically rewarding people who have contributed to the promotion of Croatia with their sports, scientific and artistic work.

Nature Park Učka

Učka Mountain has well maintained hiking trails and offers a lot of different sports activities such as hiking and free climbing. At the top is the Vojak tower which offers a wonderful view. The Nature Park can be reached by bus from Opatija.

Restaurant Plavi podrum

It is the oldest restaurant on the Opatija Riviera with a tradition of more than 100 years. It offers a superb European cuisine based on local ingredients and fresh fish and shrimp, combining traditional and modern culinary methods.
